You can’t choose when Sudden Cardiac Arrest will strike.
But You Can Be Prepared.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time. When it happens, HeartSine’s Automated External Defibrillator technology can make the difference between life and death.
By providing technologically advanced, easy-to-use, affordable AEDs for public access and home markets, HeartSine continues to provide medical devices that save lives.
HeartSine’s technology and innovation is based on a proven history of development in the field of cardiac defibrillation that began in the 1960s. Our research and development is spearheaded by an impressive team of technology experts and renowned luminaries in the industry.
Samaritan PAD 450P
Real-Time CPR Rate Feedback
While some cardiac events are treatable with effective Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) alone, others require a combination of effective CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to deliver a lifesaving shock within the first few minutes of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). In both cases, effective CPR contributes to an increase of survival rates of up to 75%.
More than a simple AED, the HeartSine samaritan® PAD 450P with integrated CPR Rate Advisor™ provides real-time visible and audible feedback to the rescuer on the rate of chest compressions during an SCA resuscitation.

CPR Rate Advisor™
While some SCA victims benefit from the delivery of a shock, effective CPR with minimum interruption will maximize the chances of a positive outcome for virtually every SCA victim. Using HeartSine’s proprietary ICG-based technology, the SAM 450P with CPR Rate Advisor provides the rescuer with continuous real-time verbal prompts of “Push faster,” “Push slower,” or “Good speed” to help achieve the optimum rate of compressions as defined by the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines for CPR. Similarly, the SAM 450P detects if CPR has stopped, and prompts the rescuer to “Begin CPR” until CPR has resumed.
The SAM 450P also incorporates an intuitive LED-based visual feedback feature that operates in tandem with the verbal prompts enabling rescuers to operate in extra noisy environments.

How It Works
The HeartSine samaritan PAD is an automated external defibrillator (AED) that analyzes the heart rhythm and delivers an electrical shock to victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in order to restore the heart to normal rhythm. This user-friendly AED provides easy to follow visual and audio prompts to guide the rescuer from pad application to shock delivery, if required.
It’s lifesaving, pure and simple.
Samaritan PAD Trainer
The design of the samaritan PAD Trainer mirrors the live device in order to ensure greater user retention and system familiarity. As such, the samaritan PAD Trainer is easy to use, allowing the trainer the maximum time possible to focus on the learning needs of the group. The Trainer, which is compatible with any CPR manikin system, provides six pre-recorded rescue training scenarios without delivering an actual shock. The samaritan PAD Trainer is available in both SAM 350P and SAM 450P models.

The SAM 450P Trainer simulates the SAM 450P AED by providing the same visual and verbal CPR Rate Advisor prompts that guide the rescuer to a good rate of compressions.
Note: HeartSine strongly advises that potential users of defibrillators ensure their training is in line with current ERC/AHA Guidelines and are aware of the regulations and guidelines relating to training and the use of an AED in their specific country.
It’s lifesaving, pure and simple.
Pad-Pak
The Pad-Pak is suitable for use on adults and children. For children younger than eight years or weighing less than 25 kg/55 lbs, HeartSine offers the Pediatric-Pak™. The HeartSine PAD’s built-in intelligence and unique Pediatric Pad-Pak ensure the appropriate energy level is delivered for children.
Each Pad-Pak/Pediatric-Pak has an industry-first four-year life, and provides 60 shocks or six hours of continuous monitoring. When battery power is down to ten shocks or less, the HeartSine samaritan PAD emits an audible beep.
Two versions of the Pad-Pak are available:
- Adult Pad-Pak, gray in color, for use on patients from eight years old to adults weighing more than 25 kg/55 lbs.
- Pediatric-Pak, pink in color, for use on patients younger than eight years of age weighing less than 25 kg/55 lbs.
Heart Trac
The Heart Trac program is designed to take the guesswork out of implementing a company’s or organization’s AED program. The program provides support in developing comprehensive emergency response plans and AED protocols, and determining the most appropriate locations for AEDs in each facility, and making sure they’re installed properly. An AED Program Specialist reviews the applicable federal, state, and local regulations to ensure the AED program is in compliance, registers the AEDs and precise locations with local emergency medical services (EMS), and documents the AEDs using the forms required in each jurisdiction. All necessary registration forms are completed automatically, sent to the appropriate authorities, and saved to each customer’s online profile with a date stamp for future reference.

To ensure both your program and equipment remain in regulatory compliance, the Heart Trac web-based, password-encrypted central data management system provides ready access to all the records associated with your HeartSine AED program:
- Installation and maintenance data
- Equipment locations
- Date equipment was placed in service
- Equipment serial numbers
- Expiration dates for Pad-Pak cartridges and other consumables
- Scheduled maintenance dates
- Cardiac arrest events data

Pad-Pak and Pediatric-Pak
HeartSine has taken an innovative approach to maintenance items by incorporating the AED batteries and electrodes into one single-use cartridge called the Pad-Pak. The advantage to the Pad-Pak is that there is only one date to monitor and only one item to replace on expiration or after use.
Each Pad-Pak has an industry-first four-year life, and provides 60 shocks or six hours of continuous monitoring. When battery power is down to 10 shocks or less, the HeartSine samaritan PAD emits an audible prompt.
The samaritan PAD’s built-in intelligence and unique Pediatric Pad-Pak ensures the appropriate energy level is delivered for children.
